Set up Zanbase Agent

Create a Zanbase Agent with its own instructions, model, and allowed workspace tools.

Zanbase Agent

Create a Zanbase Agent for a particular kind of work by choosing its instructions, model, and tools. You can create more than one, with different settings for each.

Before you start

You need the workspace member, admin, or owner role to create a Zanbase Agent. To create one inside a folder, open the folder and use its New resource button; you need Can edit or Full access on that folder. To send it a request, the workspace needs available AI credits; see Pricing for allowances.

Create Zanbase Agent

  1. In the sidebar, select New resource, the plus beside Workspace.
  2. Choose AI and automation, then Agents. Zanbase creates an untitled agent with the default model and opens it.
  3. Select the title and type the agent’s name.
  4. Select Edit persona.
  5. Choose a Model.
  6. Write its instructions in System prompt.
  7. Choose the allowed actions in Workspace tools.

Each field saves as soon as you change it.

Start a conversation

  1. Open your Zanbase Agent by its name.
  2. Open Chat actions beside Edit persona.
  3. Select New chat.
  4. Type your request in Ask anything… “@” to mention and press Enter.

Good to know

Leaving Workspace tools empty gives you chat without workspace actions. Choosing a tool does not grant extra access: Zanbase Agent still uses the asking person’s permissions. Repeat these steps for another Zanbase Agent with a different model or instructions.
