Connect Google Workspace

Grant access to Google Drive, Gmail, and Calendar, and choose optional workspace write permissions.

Integrations and MCP

Connect your Google account to let Zanbase read the Google information you authorize. Workspace administrators can also grant write permissions for agents and automations.

Before you start

Sign in to a Zanbase workspace and have access to the Google account you want to connect. For the whole workspace permissions require a workspace Owner or Admin.

Connect personal read access

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Connected apps.
  3. Under Connected accounts, find Google.
  4. Under For you, turn on Read Drive, Gmail & Calendar.
  5. Select Grant 1 permission.
  6. Complete Google’s account selection and permission prompts.
  7. Return to Connected apps.
  8. Check for Granted beside the permission.

This permission supports reading Google Drive files, Gmail, and Calendar. The connection is personal and is removed when you leave the workspace.

Authorize workspace actions

  1. Under Google, find For the whole workspace.
  2. Select the permissions needed: Write Calendar events, Write Docs & Sheets, Write Drive files, or Compose & send Gmail.
  3. Select Grant 1 permission, or the Grant button showing the number you selected.
  4. Complete Google’s permission prompts.

These permissions allow creating Calendar events, creating Docs and appending Sheet rows, creating Drive files, or creating Gmail drafts and sending messages, respectively. Workspace connections remain when the person who authorized them leaves.

Disconnect an account

  1. Find the account under Connected accounts.
  2. Select its Disconnect button.
  3. Confirm with Disconnect.

Good to know

A connection authorizes access; it does not itself schedule an automation or send a message. Disconnecting an integration does not sign you out of Zanbase. Outside AI tools connect through a separate authorization flow.
